The medium.

I used a cold batik medium to create this artwork. I choose semi transparent silk and I applied different metallic acrylic liners to make a vintage stain-glass effect.

I always experiment with color. We all know that color affects us physically, psychologically and mentally. 

I used soft and delicate vintage color palette to immerse you in the Magical light of a summer afternoon in the Jardín du Luxembourg.

Meaning. Inspiration

In Paris I used to stroll through the Jardín du Luxembourg among the enormous trees, I used to watch people of all ages enjoying life, and I felt like the same as I felt in childhood when everything is possible, that I can do Anything! 

I wanted to imprint and keep this feeling in my artwork to remember that I Can do Anything! Our life is full of amazing possibilities available to everyone!

So I painted a metaphorical image of a Carousel of Unicorns.

The meaning of the Unicorn is all about Opening up to infinite possibilities and that infinite possibilities are all around and available to you at all times. Many times one cannot see those possibilities around. Unicorn gives us the “eyes to see” those possibilities, and ” the wisdom” to take advantage of them.

The symbolism of a carousel is close to circles and wheels. The circle has magical features: the purest and most profound symbol in existence. It has no beginning and no end as a circle of life. As for me, carousel symbolises carefree childhood, magic, delight and pure joy.

Paris is a symbol of romantic love, dreams that come true and boundless happiness.

I united all these symbols to show you the Magic of life.

Meaning. Inspiration

I visited London for the first time in May of 2022. I was impressed by the beauty of the city and how huge, busy and rich it is. In Green Park I was amazed by the beauty and grace of Pelicans! Their pastel feathers reminded me of little houses of Notting Hill. It seemed magical for me that was right in the middle of such a busy and noisy city. You have a possibility to hide in the silence of Green Park with such a creature as pelican!! Pelican is an ancient Cristian symbol. Pelican symbolizes self-sacrifice and parental love, as well as mercy. Later strolling by the city I saw a lot of heraldic images of swans and pelicans. I was intrigued and inspired.

When I back home to Barcelona I depict Pelican as I remember it in all its beauty and grace dancing in the splendor of the Londons Spring. 

Here is the Secret of Pelican: in the middle of endless chaos you can always find the door to the Magical World.
