Current Art Projects. “43 ans de ma vie.” 2024

Kristina Rasskazova states: “I bare myself, shed my masks, and connect authentically with the authenticity of the viewers. A heart-to-heart connection is what truly matters.”

This is a collective project. I unite with two more artists to make this project reality. This union have a great symbolism for me. My partners in this adventure are an American artist Jay Handy @jayhandyink and an Ukrainian artist and photographer Anastasia Arteyeva @anastasiaarteyeva.

I believe that art comes truly alive when efforts and talents come together.
Collaboration brings depth, complexity, and uniqueness to every project.
It’s like music: a solo is beautiful — but an orchestra is powerful.
The same goes for art — collective creation makes it vibrant, layered, and real.
I work with those who believe in the power of unity — of ideas, formats, and people.

Thank you guys! I love you!

I am in the process of creation. I want to share with you some moments of the process.

I will publish the project SOON! Follow me.

Inspiration

In February of 2024, I painted a piece titled “My Inner Child,” which became a profound source of inspiration for me. It led me to delve deeper into my journey and narrate my life through three scenes, embodied by three archetypes.

My soul is flourishing!

Fashion Design. Inspiration.

During the Kamakura period (1192-1333) in Japan, paper clothing was used, and in the Edo period (1603-1867), the most expensive paper clothing was considered extremely elegant.
This curious historical fact served as inspiration for the creation of a kimono. I designed it and I cut it out in paper by laser in attabarcelona studio.

I would like to highlight the exquisiteness and presumption of Geisha character using sophisticated paper kimono.

Another outfit is inspired by Samurai’s armor. I used origami technique to create it with paper. Paper armor looks pathetic, fake and fragile as well as the mask of the fighter.

The process of shooting

Three scenes Three photographs. Three archetypes. Nothing left unsaid.

I also dedicated a hokku to each archetype.

Geisha. Stranger’s eyes meet mine, in a fleeting, passing glance, passion’s fire burns bright.

My inner child. Eyes shut, heart open, she guides me to the wisdom, Universal light.

Kali (Samurai) My soul’s bloom wilts fast, beneath the armor’s burden, lost in twilight’s grasp.

Jay Handy. June 2024. USA

Jay Handy’s ARTWORK inspired by my artwork “My Inner Child”.

I was talking to Jay about my idea to mix photography with watercolor painting. I was sharing with him my ideas and my doubts. He told me: “Kristina! Lets just do it!” That is how this masterpiece was born! I really in love with the result! I feel so grateful that Jay created it for me!

You can know more about Jay Handy through his instagram @jayhandyink and also reading my blog.

I bare myself, shed my masks, and connect authentically with the authenticity of the viewers. A heart-to-heart connection is what truly matters.

Thank you!

Kristina
